I think there are a few casters who aren't designed for small games (or, rather, small games aren't designed for them), and Goreshade falls squarely in that list, along with eSkarre and eHaley (esp. in Mangled Metal).

However, if I were to play him, I would probably go with something close to:
Goreshade
-Slayer (while not as sneaky or fast as the stalker, but more versatile due to durability and power)
-Leviathan (don't like its accuracy without a buff (pDeneghra springs to mind), but it's still pretty good
Warwitch (still good for clearing)
-Tartarus (buffs your banes, thresher fills a similar role to biles, can take on a damaged light himself)
