Hello Dakka Dakka.
I've been playing The Empire since the last edition and although they weren't the toughest army, or the strongest army, I loved them, they got things done. With the release of the new army book I am quite excited as I can't wait to see what is awaiting me, but...........I have heard some bad things and good things. There wasn't a whfb battle report in April's White Dwarf so I'm kinda stumped and I can't get the new book for a while so I've gotta stick with the old one. Just wanted the opinions of you people out there, what is the new The Empire army book like? Is it good. Is it alright. Is it bad.

It has been shuffled around a bit and people are complaining, however i feel its pretty much similar to before. The HQ's with captains in particular have been made better IMO but overall i dont think empire has changed much Minus the inclusion in warmachines and monstrous cavalry, but this is not a fundamental change, spearmen are still your bestest friend

The changes are pretty much in line with the changes in the other 8th ed books.

And much like the other books the hard choices are in the Special section.

Allright then cheers TH3FALL3N and marielle. Just wanted a heads up if there were any major overhauls and changes as I've got some thoughts of restarting my Empire army in Nordland colours this time over with some reinforcements of course. Again thanks for the heads up.
