I've searched the forums and haven't found a conclusive answer to this question.

The latest version of the Tyranid FAQ says this:

Q: Can I take cover saves from a Mawloc’s Terror from the Deep attack? (p51)
A: Yes.

My question is: What would give you cover from Terror from the Deep? Do you just always get a cover save? If you don't just always get a cover save, what sorts of cover would work? Do you only get it if you're in area terrain?

The way we've been playing it is that you always get a cover save.

You would get cover save son from anything that does not rely on LoS, such as KFF, Spore Cloud, etc.

Area terrain will give a cover save for non vehicle models as well.
