It was hyperbole; I was thinking of saying it was the first image sent over ARPANET but even those Eldar models aren't that old
My favorite part is when this happens with a Commissar in-game. I've seen a Commissar kill the last man in a unit only to run away all alone a moment later!

The fluff justification was "now that I had purged the cowards from my squad, it was time to advance back to the rear for more reinforcements".
