I just finished these for a buddy, thought I would put them up and work more on my photography skills. He wanted a red and purple scheme, so I combined it to a purplish mohagany, like a royal color scheme that works pretty nice I think. I also got a lot of OSL practice done from all those power weapons! I'll just be uploading the pics into this thread as I go through the process of photographing it.
Please C&C! But keep in mind it's not my army and I left things blank with the heraldry and names and stuff for now. Let me know what you think of the color scheme and stuff, if I should have done something different, etc.

Personally I think the OSL should be a similar (if not the same) colour for the weapons and the eyes. But thats the only problem I can think of, these things are lovely.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own... |

Yeah, I don't know. I did the green eyes because it went really well with the red armor and gold helmets, and the force weapons came last of course. And they're not silver to begin, the blue eyes really go with silver better. And I don't want to make the force weapons green... so that's why I did that. But yeah, there's something to be said for having the lights being the same color everywhere.

I really like that color scheme...nice deviation from the proscribed and dull grey knight colors. But it seems like the OSL is just a tad bit much, especially on the eyes. I think you've got the technique down, just maybe make it a bit more subtle.

Yeah, that's the hardest thing about it, I find. I go back and forth between using airbrush and paintbrush to do the eyes, the airbrush comes out with a far better gradient and makes it brighter but the downside is that it can be overpowering because you need such a low flow for so little time. I might still go back and see if I can tone that down because I'm not in a rush to hand the army over.
