So any Chaos Space Marine with the Mark of Khorne and power armor cannot upgrade their missile weapons except for replacing bolt pistols with plasma pistols.  Chaos Bikers can get various missile weapon upgrades, but the upgrades are on the bikes not the rider.  Could this allow a biker with the Mark of Khorne to get a better weapon?  Is that a loophole? 

I don't really think so, but someone said that you could on another thread, so I thought I'd put it out there.  It's mainly wishful thinking.  We could use some decent guns.

NO.  Not from what I have been able to do.  The only missile weapons available to a Khornate biker are the combi-bolter and a bolt-pistol.  You CAN upgrade your close combat weapon to a Khornate chainaxe for 1 point though.  Let's face it, Khorne hates guns.

That's what I thought. Okay, I've got two follow-up questions-

1. The Book of Khorne says that models in power armor can't upgrade their guns. If you buy a model daemon armor could he then get better guns?

2. A model with daemonic stature cannot ride a steed or go in a transport. But it doesn't mention riding bikes. Can a statured DP ride a bike? It would have to be a big bike obviously.

1. Yes your asp. champ or lord/lieutenant could choose any weapon in the armoury.

2. There is nothing that I have found in the RAW that states you cannot combine stature with a bike, but, I would seriously doubt and TO would allow it.  I would LOVE to see the model.  However, I would never try it.

I just looked at the 3rd edition CSM Q&A and it specifically says that Khorne bikers can't upgrade their weapons, but the 4th edition Q&A doesn't say anything about it. And neither says anything about satured DP's and bikes.

Thats because the rulebook actually answers this *shock horror*

The first Sentance in the Chaos Space Marine Bike section says "Steed."

So no Monstorus Creature on a bike.

That's because ANY model marked by Khorne can only use the plasma-pistol upgrade. That covers Berzerkers, bikers, and any other flavor of troop.

Nice catch, thanks for clearing that up.  I must admit though I would love to see some huge statured prince mounted on a tiny bike at a tourney.
