Like the title states, I'm wondering if there are any rule sets for 15mm miniatures set in the Pacific theater of operations. Before people go and start telling me to use google or similar, I'm asking here as I'm going to be at work for the vast majority of today and tomorrow. Monday though I want to be placing an order for some mini's, provided I can find a good ruleset.

Help a brotha out

Respective to each of the listed options, which one is the easiest to pick up and start playing with?

Well if you want to base for FOW then BKC2 is very easy to get to grips with and is based on the Warmaster system.

Command Decision is the least easy and I wouldnt suggest it unless you really want to model higher level engagements,

RF2 is very easy to get into and is rather 'old skool' in nature but suffers from being a skirmish set pretending to be a battalion level set.

Im using KGN with my Pacific mods and lists and its great, but other than that, BKC2 maybe your best bet as its a very enjoyable game.

Oh one other one worth looking at, as you wont have many tanks, is Crossfire but its a utterly new twist on game mechanics and can take a while to get your head around.

Thanks for the info. Out of the original 3 Blitzkrieg Commander 2 looked the most interesting, though I didn't see anything that really stuck out as far as the image of WW2 Pacific I had in my head. You mentioned Pacific mods with regard to KGN. Are those homebrew or is there an online location where I could find them? If there is, I'd go with that (KGN) as I've played the game for awhile now with my dad, and think it's a really good ruleset. It would also have the bonus of not really having to learn a whole new ruleset

I have written them, and they may be about as a PDF soon in the same format as the KG 1940 and KG Tobruk lists I have done.

I think thats the route I'll go then. Out of curiosity which manufacturer(s) do you get the models from?

Which 20mm model manufacturers would you suggest then? Like the only reason I was looking for 15mm stuff was it was the first number that popped into my head. It has to be my recent FoW craze

Whats the quality on the Britannia Miniatures like for Japanese troops and guns? So far thats the only company that doesn't have pictures of the models up on the site. Aside from them I've also found a couple other companies that seem to have some good looking models.

Milicast
SHQ Miniatures

Thanks for all the help so far!

Skytrex/Old Glory have the 15mm Japanese Command Decisions line (if you are still interested in 15mm, of course):

Disposables Heroes can be played in 15mm or 28mm. Red Sun Red Death is the supplement.

Heres a like to a vid I made about Disposable Heroes.

I had a look at the rules for FoW (specifically the IJA army handbook) My only issue with this is that I would need to purchase the army handbooks and the rules expansion, and that starts to chew into the money I wanted to spend on the models. I also haven't really been able to find many reviews on it

With Disposable Heroes you would spend under $40 for the main book and supplement (Red Sun Red Death).

You can do anything with Disposable Heroes and there's rules for it. Just played a game where my opponent ram a building with his tank, killing 2 of my men inside. There is no restrictions anything can happen.
