First piece for my Das Reich Kampfgruppe... for Kampfgruppe Normandy.

Went for this gun as it looks far nicer than the PaK 40, which I have always found to be a bit of a lump! In games of KGN it will just be used as a PaK 40 stand-in. Figures are AB with SHQ gun and accesories. As usual in 20mm.

Nice SS Camo, (is it the Oak leaf pattern?) I could never get SS camo right, myself. Or even the British Denison Para Smocks for that matter.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Great painting, as always. And a nice flower, which seems to be one of your motifs. My only issue is that, as seems to be the way with virtually all metal Germans in smaller scales, there are some weird looking helmets there.

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Given most of the helemts have either camo covers or vegetation on them, which looks weird?

AB do the finest Stalhelms on any miniatures.

Of course what you should have pointed out was that Das Reich had no PaK 97/38 listed on their A/T gun returns for June through to August 1944...

I'm really not bothered about whether Das Reich had this weapon in their inventory - it's one of those 'well, they could have had them' things.

The helmets on some of the men look too tall - more like the WWI version than the WWII version. It only shows up because your photos are so good!

I know exactly what you mean... They do look a teeny bit too tall when blown up in the image.
