Hello Dakkanauts.

I have a couple of questions regarding Kill Points and Necrons and HQ's

First:

In what page of the rulebook does it say the amount of kill point an Independent character grant when joined to a unit?

Second:

If I have a Royal court of:

1 Necron Overlord
5 Necron Lords
5 Crypteks

How many Kill points is that unit worth? One for the Royal Court and one ofr the Overlord? Or each unit grants an individual kill point since the codex says they are: Infantry(Character)

for the first question the independent character is worth 1 on his own, so if it is an overlord with a squad of warrioirs the whole squad would be worth 2: 1 for the squad 1 for the independent character(the overlord).

For the second 2: 1 for the overlord 1 for the rest of the squad.

No Page says this, but it is in the FAQ:

Q: If an Independent Character has joined a unit, and
they are all destroyed how many kill points are they
worth? (p91)
A: Two. The unit is worth one and the Independent
Character is also worth one.

One for each IC and one for the unit.

What does the Necron book say?

Do the cryptek's have the IC rule?

Does the Necron Lord have the IC rule?

Look in the rules for those models. Do the rules say they're an Independent Character? (note that Character != Independent Character)

They do not. Only the Overlord has the rule. Thanks for the help.

Same deal for Wolf Guard joining other units. They are now counted as part of a different unit. So if a RC of 3 Crypteks splits and joins a trio or Necron units, the RC is now worth 0 because there were never any models in tge unit. Killing just the 3 Crypteks gets nothing. Killing a Cryptek unit gains 1. Killing all 3 Cryptek.units is worth 3.
