I started this army last May, it was finally completed this week and in its inaugural game (as a fully painted complete army that is) it fought against my son's Cadian Imperial Guard. Many models were customized with hand painted art work.

Really love the grey-mute color scheme. It's really unique. Enough Death-cult assassins? hahaha

GENERATION 7: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

The lack of details and variation was disturbing at first, but at the table they loock great. I like the feel of a ghost army sweeping in to take out some poor vitnesses to the great cause. Wery fitting for GK

Nice! I was just scribbling down an army list for a Inquisitorial Henchman-based Grey Knights army as my possible next project! This gave me some ideas.

If I have a criticism, it is that you need more Jokaero. Seriously, who doesn't love orangutans?

Your room looks like a veritable nergasm...

thank you ! I love DCA probably point for point the hardest hitting assault unit in 40k ( when coupled with hammer hand and ( or) Rad grenades....absolutely deadly .

It's very funny you mention ghost as the original army started out as a Mordrak ghost army ( grey , blue ghostly look) but it evolved in to purifiers then finally to Inquisitorial. So you hit the nail on the head, they are supposed to be the ghost army sweeping in.

Yeah that's my favorite room in the house

You can't go Wong with Coteaz, a xenos inquisitor , a ton of DCA , raiders to deliver the DCA , cheap scoring acolytes and Ven Dreds , throw in a storm raven for end game flexibility (and general early game distraction ) and it's a world of hurt .

Thanks for the advice! I'm primarily a modeler/painter, but I do get to play a game every once in a blue moon. It's good to know when a unit plays well on the field before I buy it. Out of curiosity, why do you recommend the Xenos Inquisitor above the other two flavors?

I enjoy the 40k Fluff, and was looking for something quirky and varied. I will definitely field a unit of DCA, but I think I'll want my list to have a little of everything the Inquisitorial Henchman have to offer, there's some really cool stuff in there that I look forward to converting and painting.

Space Apes....

I love what you did with the lego!

"As I looked into its dead black eyes, I saw the terrible sentience it had in place of a soul. Behind that was the steel will of its leader. Further still I could feel its primogenitor coldly assessing me from the void. And looking back from the furthest recesses of the alien's mind... I can only describe it as an immortal hunger. It is this we cannot kill."

Wow... pretty good job! Nice drybrush, maby too traditional colour scheme for gk but still it looks good!
Specially those semi flames on your storm raven looks cool!
What I hate most, is that you use lego parts to make figs... Its too indentifiable...

Woul like to have seen the army detailed out. I love the raven and transports but the models themselves are very disapointing due to the lack of detail. I hope you will come back and finish them.

I truly enjoy your freehand, it looks great! As to the gray coloring I thought it looked like stone, I like it it seemed very..monolithic

"The uniforms of the Imperial guard are camouflaged in order to protect their wearers by hiding them from sight. the principle is that what the enemy cannot see, he cannot kill. This is not the way of the Adeptus Astartes. A Space Marine's armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his Chapter and the beloved Emperor of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear." -The codex Astartes

Excellent theme with very good freehand! The only thing I don't like is the lego dreadnought arms, they look more like blunderbusses than autocannons.

I Love how different this army looks. I think that earlier poster was right that more detail is needed. You have good vision I hope that you keep it up and refine your painting skills and bring them to life.

Thanks for all the responses everyone. I should have put some context on the project . I have been playing since 1989 and have about 9 different armies , I was really looking to do something unique and different with this build . I appreciate all the comments !
