Need some advice on what kind of roster to build vs blood angles i have a game coming up and last time i played him at 1250 he totaly kicked my butt.

what i have on hand and ready to play with.. Look in my gallary you will see my Nephrekh Dynasty that shows every model i have. that way i don't have to list every thing.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/347711-Nephrekh%20Dynasty%20full%20army.html?m=2

basicaly his method of play is Deep strick next to a unit and assault.. ( blood angles only have to roll 1D6 for depstrike with scatter dice and he has reroll ontop of that )

any ways any advice will help.

thanks.

I'm a BA player and if he is playing a DoA army the best thing to do is mess up his DS abilty. Don't Necrons have a character that makes all the ground dangerous terrain? That will slow down any jumpper/DoA army. Keep your army mobile. Once he comes down, use your transports to spread out and keep him from multi charging you.

If he still plays a DoA army, he will have little to no mech. don't worry about taking high stength weapons, just go for mass about of fire. The more dice you can make him roll, the more armour saves he has to take.

yes he plays DOA army.. with feel no pain..has some name HQ that makes every thing fleet..lol. i do find it challenging though pretty fun.. yes necrons have a coupld of things that can turn things into dangerous terrain such as Ctan shard .. Tremor Cryptek, and a named HQ. last time we played i deployed wrong and had my whole army kind squished together so yeah killed my destoyers right off the bat.. i did manage to take out almost a complet unit from one round of shooting but i had to focus all fire power on it. but once in combat crons really are not geared for that so thats kind of what i was thinking.. was use some tricky stuff to take away the Furous charge , fleet special rule .. and just shoot away. and try and take out as much as posible before CC happen.

Use Orikan the diviner, and the C'tan with writhing worldscape, whenever they land, they'll be taking casualties.
Blood angels die really easily to power weapons, make sure they are plentiful (lords in squads, lychguard, ect, it'll ignore their armor AND FNP)

I'd suggest you bubble wrap important units, or ones you need to keep alive for shootyness, spread out warriors around that unit, an inch or so apart, and they'll be unable to assault, also, starting your guys in terrain will force tests to assault, and make him strike at I1, allowing you to actually go first for a change.

Other than that, i'd recommend large units that will bog him down in assault, and since you have them, using the D'lord and Praetorians as a rapid-response counter assault unit.

Gaze of flame or Lightning field crypteks can also boost the survivability of your squads.
