Yeah i do all the time, if im not watching south park or something Anything metal basically, altough the most brutal doesn't work that well while painting. Something melodic and progressive works better there. While playing a board game you really need the brutal stuff!
I have to listen to something semi-relaxing when I paint. I get too into metal, punk, and ska, and end up taking forever! Some slower electronic music or reggae music is good for relaxing and focusing on what I'm painting.

I couldn't do that...I'd be too busy watching the movies
Eh. I've seen them enough that I'm not too distracted by them. It's quite scary, really.
It's only scary if you don't have kids....
For me, it depends on what part of the mini im working on...
If i am assembling/converting.. then lamb of god, born of osiris, amd witchery are great. But if i am working with my smaller brushes for shading and details, then usually its Dio or other 'light' listening

It's not scary if you don't have kids: Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, Sword and the Stone, Robin Hood...all classics. All amazing movies I could watch again and again. However, while painting I typically watch (listen to) South Park, Archer, Shin Chan, B-horror movies like Sharktopus, Megashark vs, Zombie movies, Batman: TAS, Justice League, Spider-man, and all the other comic book shows. Yes, I watch crappy horror movies (they're hilariously bad) and cartoons primarily. I AM a dork...
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind.
If I can paint down in the rec room where the tv is, I'll throw on some dvd's. Lately it's been Babylon 5 - upto season 3 again!
Other times I'll switch it up between the likes of Lilo & Stitch, (sends my kitten Stitch into a real frenzy as she can't understand who's calling her name all the time!) Underworld series, newest Batman films, CSI New York, Escasflowne or the animated Roughnecks series.
Mostly I paint up in my room though, and typically I'll either be listening to Nickelback or the Horus Heresy audio books, or the occational Disney soundtrack.

Jealous, I haven't watched Babylon 5 in a long time, man I miss that show, I really do...
On Topic: I will normally just put on some form of DVD such as the Extended Edition of the Two Towers with the two appendices. Occasionally I will put my headphones in my ears and kiss the next two or three hours goodbye

That's awesome! I'd probably have that song Gaston sings in Beauty and the Beast on loop. It's a classic!
My playlist lately for painting Guard is Souls Of Mischief, Aesop Rock, Iron Maiden (Fear of the Dark album), Every Time I Die (Ex Lives labum), DJ Krush and August Burns Red (Constellations album).
Also been giving Whoretopsy and The Mung a good thrashing over when I'm doing large areas of colour. Highly recommended if you like grind.

Well, technically I'm not a kid...but I have a few ex-girlfriends that would agree I'm quite childish sometimes
My GF keeps telling me I act like a three year old, and her 3 yearold grandson is starting to out grow me =o[ sighs
