Salamanders are by far my favorite chapter (and were before they were cool), fighting for and protecting the citizens of the Imperium rather than the Imperium itself.

But I have a huge soft spot for World Eaters. Such devotion to simple slaughter.

Kaos is what the Interex called "Chaos", they knew about chaos long before the IoM

I'd say the followers of Chaos are more devoted than anyone in the IoM is to the Emperor.

I like loyalists that get the stink eye from the hardcore codex humping chapters, and I like chaos warbands that don't worship the gods... Although the ones that do are still pretty awesome...

I enjoy playing both sides of the field. Though I started as a Loyalist, I soon turned to Chaos. Both have a place in my heart, though I lean a bit more to Chaos these days.

I fear you are missing two important points:

1) Chaos has never been spelled 'Kaos' at any other point in the setting's 25 year history.

2) To anybody that isn't Rob Liefeld, spelling it 'Kaos' looks really derpy. Michael Moorcock didn't feel the need to give it kewl xtreme lettorz, and neither should we.

Night lords are awesome.. If I had to choose between loyalist or chaos/renegade I would rather be in a small warband than the largest loyalist chapter.

Freedom above all else! To worship my dark gods, to slaughter who I wish and have raunchy time and pirate the crap out of others. Even if I have a short life. Have to venture into the warp and scratch together what I can from the dead and fight for my own survival and rank constantly. Even with a 'short' life when compared to my loyalist brethren (not counting warp years) I'd still rather be chaos over loyalist.

Freedom of Speech argument can be used by most people if not all by Dakka, it's Chaos not Kaos.
