Do you just convert other types of units? Make rhinos and predators look orky? Or are there actually units of looted wagons?

Advice: Stick to orking up imperial vehicles.

Ork'd eldar and tau vehicles look slowed.

You can do tau or eldar vehicles too.

A couple ideas for these:

an ork holding a driver at gunpoint

wheels put on the bottom of said skimmers in an orky fashion

a crashing skimmer with an ork pilot

Just doesn't look great.

Anyways, for orking it up, you may want to take random ork vehicle parts/plates and stick them all over the model randomly, and paint it red while still showing a tiny bit of the vehicles original paint underneath.

You can also use this http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440335a&prodId=prod30013a

It may not look serious but isnt that the point. And I have seen a pretty intense crashing skimmer with an ork at the wheel. It may not be the easiest or most serious thing to do but it isn't ruled out.

You can definitely do one, but it is usually captured as you have suggested, because the crude iron plates look too strange glue onto the curving surfaces, and don't really have anywhere to be put. I have plenty of tau vehicles, and I can tell you that they are round enough it would take lots of creativity (see: cutting pieces smaller) to make a devilfish orky without resorting to the ork driver.

Well you could always take a hammer to the model and use the plastic to scratch build a looted wagon lol

Yes I had an idea(that I might do if not for the limits of $$$$) Imagine an ork cavalry army where every odel is riding a tyranid.
stormboys on gargoyles

boys on gaunts

trygons as trukks

Boomgun looted wagons as a tyranofex

etc...

Columbus, Oh

Look around in the Swap Shop or Bartertown for vehicles that have failed to survive a dog, or a drop from a tabletop, or maybe had a "removing the paint" accident..

i.e. Get them CHEAP..

and then Ork em..

Lord knows you don't want to pay retail for a perfectly good tank to destroy it..
