Capture and Control is only two objectives i believe, and Seize Ground is 2+D3 Objectives. Capture and Control Objectives have to be places in your deployment zone, and Seize Ground Objectives have to be placed 12 inches from a table edge and not within 18 inches of another objective. Capturing them is the same though.

There are differences between the two.

I don't think anyone was offended.
YMDC is already on shaky legal grounds, as we're constantly repeating GW's copyrights. We get away with this because we only discuss the implication of the rules, and not just give out the rules themselves. If we started just writing out the rulebook or codex for people that didn't have it (either because they don't own it, or because they don't have it on them), GW would get pissed and could shut Dakka down.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Nice. Anyway, the difference is the # of objectives and the RP scenario for the mission. Seize ground is that you are fighting to reclaim fallen allies, etc, while capture and control is about holding an enemy base.

Nice call, I already gave my 2 cents in a separate forum about kids in the game. As long as they shower, act mature, play smart, don't cheat, don't wine, and don't cheat again. Than they are ok with me.
I was wondering this a little bit, for tournaments. I have never been in one and was thinking.. .
Should I bring 3 or 5 of my own objectives?
Can I use my own building in tournaments?
Can it be 4 stories tall?

Take 5 - it cant hurt, and looks more themed that way.
Normally unless tournaments ask specifically for you to bring scenery, it will be provided and you dont get to add your own to it.
As to whether it can be 4 stories tall - see above, and ok it with the TO if they let you bring one.

I agree it can't hurt to bring objective markers with to the tournament, if they provide them then your set, if they don't then your also covered.
You can always ask if they need any extra terrain for the tournament(if it's a small local one) the store may not have as much as they would like for then number of players they have, but I wouldn't expect to be able to bring your own for each game. If you bring your own terrain for the tournament and keep it with you someone may claim you brought terrain that gives you an unfair advantage(perceived or actually an advantage).
