Step 1 : Deploy centrally

Step 2 : Move Forward into cover

Step 3 : Sit there and shoot at him

Step 4 : When he assaults you in cover, counter assault with NDK and your entire army.

Step 5 : Win

Oh I read that you were the Grey Knights player. Draigo lists are actually pretty hard to beat let me think for a second.

Draigo Wing Basically has a 30" Threat Range, you want to avoid that.
Your LandRaider (should) be safe to take psycannon shots, but rends might get ya.

What kind of dred? Blood talons and drop pod or what?

The biggest thing you want to do is play the objectives, and to avoid the 30" threat bubble from 6" movement and psycannons.

You have the mobility, he doesnt. Just shoot at him from longrange, pick off the squad of 10 or the Dred Knight if it goes out in the open.

Play the obectives, and dont feel the need to commit your forces.

KP : you loose this game.
CaC : He wont get to you with his paladins, just contest late game.
SG : You win this

haha ok =p I heard that me deploying centrally and using my 6 twin linked lascannons would be a great way to go. Mainly whittle down the paladin squads first then tackle the interceptors with my terminators and send the dreadnought and Meph against his NDK. As for his 2 HQ's it is an objective based game and they are unable to hold any objective. I aim to contest on the last turn using my speed boosted tanks!

Its also a DoW setup for this mission. Im pretty sure I can get to the centre and hold him there until the last turn. With them all either Deep striking or foot slogging across the board I reckon I could easily out manouver him and get long range shots off.

Keep you tanks moving 12'' even if they move 6'' and move back 6''.

I can not see much antitank in the list. So stay in the tanks.

With the range thing run away shooting, keeping yourself out of range. You can charge with the termies if they teleport towards you.

I think you will be ok, assault does not favour you but then again why would it.

What good would that do? Then he would hit you automatically.

With perfect rolls, yes.

With perfect rolls with perfect rolls a 10-strong unit of guardsmen can kill a 10-strong unit of THSS termies a turn.

^^ This. You have to end your move more than 6" away from where you started in order to get the 6+ to hit your vehicles.

Pretty sure you don't have to move the full 12", as anything over 6" is still cruising speed.

I fully intend to keep as much distance between me and those paladins as possible, with enough lascannon fire they'll soon start to fall down. Even with Mordark and Draigo in the squads they'll die. Lascannons make those 2 wounds useless! Once they have a couple left its a case of tying them off so I can run off to hold the objectives.

Anyone got any other suggestions for tackling them?

So, what, 5 shots a turn?

Assuming perfect LoS every turn for all of them, and no shaken results, or stunned results, or weapon destroyed results, or vehicles destroyed, you get 25-30 shots for most games.

with 30: 11 wounds, assuming all of the above and no cover saves ever.

With cover saves: 8.

See? this is ridiculous. You will score 8-11 wounds (assuming 6 turns, that is, 5 turns means 7-9 wounds) under literally perfect conditions where they simply line up and allow you to shoot.

It's just not going to do much for you.
