I recently bought a metal terminator chaplain and I've got him cleaned and drilled for pinning his arms on. I plan on using super glue and then filling the gaps (which are minimal anyway) with liquid greenstuff. The tricky part is his iron halo that he comes with. I've tried attaching it with both the greenstuff and super glue, but the bond I'm getting is rubbish.

It has a tiny surface with which to work and I don't have a drill bit small enough to attempt pinning it. What other methods, other than not using the halo, do you guys recommend?

I'm also planning to add a plastic scope to his storm bolter and will face the same challenge there I think.

Getting a smaller drill bit would be what I suggest. If the contact area is that small then its going to break off without a pin, whatever you use.

Got to agree with Skippy. Seems to be the only way you're going to get a good bond there.

If you don't have a smaller drill bit you could use a bit the size of the base of the iron halo and drill into the attachment point a mm or 2. This would make it so the attachment point on the halo was just depressed enough that breaking would be much less likely.

Those 2 would set you up for less than the price of some epoxy (which wouldn't work anyway on that scale btw)

Thanks guys, i figured that pinning might be the only real option. I just need to get me a small enough bit.

Cheers

I drove myself down to the hardware store, and looked around at the handheld rotary tools (Dremel tools). I found the smallest freakin' bit I could find, then found an adjustable microjaw so that I could use it in my Dremel and Drill (it's so small that even my rotary tool couldn't hold it).

The 1 I found is about as wide as a small paper-clip (making pinning wire easy to find ).
What I found is approximately this size:

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
