I started the mini painting hobby with 2nd hand 40k Space Marines. When I felt I was decent enough to justify the expense, I bought my first brand new kit: the Space Marine Scout Snipers!

I've been working on the project for months (I've always got about 4 painting projects at once, plus it's hard to find the time), and I'm now almost done. I had painted up all the parts individually so I could get the most amount of detail painted. And now that I'm trying to put the models together, I find that the heads simply do not fit on the model in any logical or attractive way. This is particularly problematic for the variants that are holding the sniper rifle to their "eyes".

Have I done something horribly wrong? Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with this, or any other, kit before?

did you glue the hands/guns first before the heads? It'll be harder to fit the head when the gun is in place already. The solution for this is to dryfit your miniatures first before gluing to pinpoint problems.

I did glue the hands/guns on first, but I also did do a dry fit. Perhaps my dry fitting "technique" sucks.
