Hello all

I'm building some custom guard units, and I was wondering how well Victory Force Miniatures fit with guardsmen. Specifically, I'm thinking of taking the German Fallshimjager(sp) legs.

Alternatively, if anyone knows of a different company that sells the same thing, that would work. US paras too, I just need the baggy, pouch heavy trousers.

Cheers,

Proportionally, they look slightly smaller then the GW models, so I don't know how well they will mesh up. The models all seem to be single peices as well, so are you planning on sawing the legs off and attaching them to the IG?

GW makes their figures ridiculously big compared to normal, even some heroic, 28mm. Most likely they wont work as intended

IMO it depends - Do you care? If not, use em - if it bothers you, don't,

Personally, since my IG is made up of Pig Iron, GW, and now Mantic figures, I care not about the size discrepancies.

Pig Iron and GW though are pretty much in scale so thats a bit of a moot point

Yeah I would just saw them apart. That's why I was going for the bulkier legs, I was hoping that they'd work better than skinnier ones.

Does anyone know of any companies that have something similiar? These legs are for modern guardsmen, so I'm looking for pouch heavy padded legs. I'm just getting into conversion, so I know hasslefree, Pig Iron, and maxmini.

thanks all!

The Victory Force Legs look bulky enough, but I'm not sure they'd be tall enough.

Defiance marines are bulky, modern'ish and have gear on them. They compare very well to GW scale figs are already separate from the bodies and are dead cheap! Also, even though it lists 24 marines, you actually get an extra 8 legs!

Pig Iron is coming out with (or has just released) multipart figs as well that are worth looking into.

Those defiance games ones could work. Thanks for the help all!

Does anyone know of a tutorial on dakka dakka that's about greenstuffing pouches onto things? I've looked around a bit and haven't seen anything.
