Allright I think this is the right place for this, so how have you guys unglued your warhammer 40k models?

Its kinda hard to do on plastic models if you used plastic glue which IIRC "melts" the plastic to make its bonds. A bit like welding metal

Although I think on nice solid pieces it could just be a yank away from freedom

I did not use plastic glue.

If it's super glue you can weaken the bonds by freezing and thawing the model. If you're stripping the model anyway, simple green will break down the bonds as well.

Just carefully wedge a hobby knife in the seam and get them apart. Clear the excess glue off the pieces afterwards.

I've been using the all purpose stuff. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the other varieties just yet.

Allright how long do you leave them in the mix and do you dilute with water?

Okay sounds good how long do you leave models in? It works on plastic right? And do you put it on the dryer?

I don't dilute it. I don't really have a set time I leave stuf in either. Really I just leave it in as long as it takes. The stuff doesn't damage plastic or metal so no harm done.

iv had some really crappy models bought off ebay for cheap that were probably built by a 10 yearold. including ones done with plasic glue.

the best thing to do is grab the wire cutters and go to town. end result-totally destroying the torso but saved the legs n jump packs. generic torsos are like a buck for 5 anyways. jump packs and legs are pricey

I'd leave them in a jar of Simple Green for something like 24hrs, just to make sure it had a chance to get into the seams of glue. That's what I typically do.

Still not letting go? Soak another day

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
