Howdy folks,

I'm looking for people interested in collecting/learning how to play Warhammer 40,000. I'll be running demos of the game every Saturday, around 2 pm to 10 pm, at Gamer's Vault on Queen Mary. If that's too far because you live out in the west, I will also be running demos every Sunday, around 1pm to 6pm at, Gamerz Co-Op on Saint Jean.

Anyone interested need only send me a message telling me what time they'll show up; it's entirely free. I'll be teaching the game mechanics, and running a few short games with the collection I have. I'll also teach how to cut, assemble, prime, and paint models. If money is an issue, anyone is free to borrow models to play with, provided you are careful with them. If Saturday/Sunday is not a good day, then message me when you are available, and I'll make time from my schedule.

On that note, I'm also looking for people interested in joining a 40k community. So far, we've gathered quite a number of players (currently numbered at 57+ members). If you're looking for a game, we easily provide; anything from a short 500 point game, to as much as 6k apocalypse, as well as any game type. Even people who don't want to collect, and simply want to discuss the fluff are welcome. We have a facebook group, (40k Montreal), which is used to post dates, challenges, and general information/40k related interests.

Anyone is invited, there are no restrictions aside from generally being a respectful human being. Whether you're new or old to 40k, we offer both lessons and players to game with. Painted models aren't necessary, and we allow proxying; its the game that drives us, and we play to have fun. We're well organized, and games are set up by the community's GMs when there's lots of people and (rarely) low space. Terrain and boards provided by the store too!

Just letting everyone know that the group is still growing and going strong. Last weekend, we had 12 players, and 4 visitors. Awesome times were had by all!

We've essentially become the biggest representation of Montreal's 40k community, and have plans to branch out into the West Island as a second meeting spot.

I just want to point out how impressive I found this group to be. Lex turned it from a few guys playing after classes in college to a massive group of people who get together (usually on Saturdays) to paint, play, and chat. It's a seriously impressive accomplishment. The people are friendly, the games are fun, and everybody's ready to help out if you have questions.
