All I seem to do lately is create lists in my head so please review them and see if there are some good strategies.

HQ
Overlord 90
res orb 30
warscythe 10
Phearon 20

Overlord 90
res orb 30
warscythe 10
Phearon 20

Court 1
5 Crypteks of despair 30x5 = 150
w/ abyssal staves
1 lord 60
w/ warscythe and MSS

Court 2
5 Crypteks of despair 30x5 = 150
w/ abyssal staves
1 lord 60
w/ warscythe and MSS

Troops
15 warriors 195
15 warriors 195
2 ghost ark trasports 115 x 2 = 230

Elites
2 triarch Stalkers 150x 2 = 300

Fast attack
3 Heavy Destroyers 180
3 Heavy Destroyers 180

This becomes 2000 points even. I would put the Crypteks in the arks and start moving my wall of warriors w/ relentless and lead by the Overlord and Lord. All the while my heave destroyers and stalkers start popping tanks. :-D Any thoughts or concerns would be very much appreciated.

Well, it should work. I say should because right now you have six despairteks sitting about doing nothing. If I were you I would change those to something a tad more useful, like lanceteks with a couple solar pulses to give your guys some cover as they trudge forward, and having ten models with a 36" S8 weapon is a great thing to have.

Also, be sure to only give us the total points cost for a unit, not the cost of each individual upgrade.

I'd go for a couple of harbingers of destruction for solar pulses and lances. Aside from the heavy destroyers you're low on anti-tank (and destroyers aren't too hard to take out)

Okay yeah I am a little low on tank destruction but 30 twin-linked shots at an up coming vehicle is pretty good. And my plan was not to split up the Harbingers from the retinue squad but to have both groups of 5 fly around in the arks as an incendiary barge of mind melting goodness! The codex says i get to choose whether or not to split them from the court... IMO this means I can peal off the lords I bought while keeping the teks together.

A list does not exist in vacuum. You have to think about how it will do when having specific opponents in mind. In general, the newest codices are the ones to expect. So, how will this list do against DE, GK?

Without pulseteks or Imotekh, you are wide open to being shot to bits while advancing. DE will darklance the walkers, against which the latter are just AV12 until the first pen, and then AV11. I'd expect the two walkers to go down on the first turn or at least get their single weapon blown off. Then you are down to two blobs of warriors and two blobs of destroyers. Using terrain and skimmer, the wyches can assault your warriors without being shot. They almost certainly will win the assault and sweep the warriors. Your destroyers may cause a bit of damage, maybe two skiffs damaged or destroyed. But, if they show themselves and shoot, they will get darklanced on the DE turn, which will wipe out at least one squad in a single turn (you don't get to RP if the entire unit is down). Wyches have haywire grenades, so they will likely disable the arks next. Game over. I think it is safe to say DE will eat up this list.

GK can similarly wipe out the warriors in assault after they psyfleman your walkers.

Sorry, this is not a competitive list.

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

I would point out that in both your courts, you have 6 models, you can have a max of 5, also, why despairteks? Most people take them for the VoD, or their great synergy with deathmarks.

This could work against a green tide ork list/ horde tyranids with all those flamer templates, but against much else, I feel like it will fall flat.

You might be better served grabbing 4 lanceteks per court, and then have the lords, this would also allow you to gain access to at least two solar pulses, higher range shooting that can pop transports, and free up your heavies for dealing with AV 14, and allowing you stalkers to help your warrior bricks with the twin linking ability, keep the ghost arcs close to regen warriors each round as well.

You can take up to 10 models in a Royal court but only 5 Crypteks and 5 lords...the list is legal.

The bad news I see is once those arks are popped the crypteks are dead, they are better off buried in a uint IMO. I see what you are trying to do with the flamer spam but if you are lucky you will get 1 or 2 good uses in the game. Is that really worth more than 25% of your points on those 2 units?
