HQ 1:
Destroyer Lord (Mindshackle Scarabs, Sempiternal Weave, Resurrection Orb) x1
Troop 1:
Necron Warriors x5
Troop 2:
Immortals (tesla carbines) x10
Fast Attack 1:
Canoptek Scarabs x6
Fast Attack 2:
Destroyers (heavy x2) x4
Fast Attack 3:
Destroyers (heavy x2) x4
Heavy Support 1:
Canoptek Spyder x2
This list utilises older models (except for immortals, who make do). It has anti-tank components , some shooting against power armor, relatively decent counter-assault element at lower points, one troop for bavkfield objective and one stronger troop that is capable of contributing to battle.
P.S. Have tried it once against crowe-purifiers list and was thoroughly beaten ). More data is needed to decide where the problem lies: list composition, my ncompetent generalship or bad luck (because not roling more then 2 on pen table isn't pleasant). Automatically Appended Next Post: There are several possible ways of modifying this list. Naturally, all of them require trimming some fat.
1. Discarding Spyders
2. Discarding Canoptek units altogether
3. Dropping some wargear from the DLord.
Starting with 3, resurrection orb and sempiternal weave are possible candidates - dropping mindshackle scarabs is madness.
Sempiternal weave really helps against battlecannons and rockets, in case DLord runs solo. Inother cases his toughness and inbuilt save look like enough protection.
If the Spyders are dropped, the scarabs can be upped to 8 or 10. They are sacrificial as it is, and will play ther role well enough if they manage to tarpit an indep or bust a transport - or, ideally, if they get to gunline and strt chewing dreds and like.
Without canoptek units the points to play around with are greatest. Sadly, nether wraiths nor praetorians are avaiable, so the variants are strengthening destroyer units (maybe adding another one) and troops.
What would be the optimum course of action?

I haven't given him much chance to shine yet. Till how, i only managed to get him charged by Crowe, who prompty killed him with force weapon.
My fault, though. I didn't play him to his strengths, which would be going forward - maybe in company of spyders (or even scarabs), not hangimg back giving immortals the orb...

You may wish to consider grabbing a couple of wraiths to compliment your d-lord as a bodyguard unit, they'll run over next to anything in melee.
I'd also get more warriors, and try not to mix heavy and regular destroyers, since one should be tackling vehicles, the other dealing with infantry threats.
Something like
Dlord
wraiths
warrrior troop
immortal troop
scarabs
1 group destroyers all heavy
1 group destroyers all regular (or, proxy them for tomb blades, which are cheaper, and will give you more points to work with)
That wraith unit will take down just about anything you'll find at 1000 points, heavy destroyers and scarabs eat armor, regular destroyers shoot heavy infantry, and warriors and immortals deal with their infantry counterparts and claim objectives.

Thank you for your feedback! Now this is something to think about.
I notice you advice to swap spyders for wraiths. Sadly, i do not have any (and proxying isn't a viable option), but splitting duties between Destroyer flights is certainly something to think about.
I am going to try it out and report results later, if any.
