Subject: Weapon destroyed in squadrons...

Hi!
During a game yesterday me 'n' me mate stumbled over a wee problem.
Let's say I got two squads of "what ever" shooting at a squad of ork buggies. My first squad manages to kill one buggy and destroying a second buggies t/l rokkit. What we got left is two buggies but only one with a weapon.
What happens when my second squad only manages to get a weapon destroyed result on the buggies?
We played by scenario no 1 listed below but i'm not sure that's the right way to do it.
1. The controlling player allocates the result on the buggie witch lost its weapon before, hence making the buggie immobilized and due to squadron rules is destroyed.
2. There's only one weapon left in the squadron, he have to choose that one and by this making the whole squadron useless (read weaponless).

The controller of the squadron allocates penetrating and glancing hits, not results. The result of each hit is caused on the vehicle it was allocated to.

Also, if the first squad killed a buggy, it wouldn't be there when the second squad fired.
First squad - destroyed and weapon destroyed.
Second squad - only one buggy, not even a squadron anymore.

Copper.talos has it. After you score your penetrating and glancing hits, the controlling player of the vehicle le squadren allocates the pens/glances just like you would an infantry squad (as evenly distributed as possible). Then the rolls are made on the damage chart

Indeed.
You allocate pens/glances as normal, as one would allocate shooting wounds. Then, going on a per model basis, the results applied to that model are determined.

Thanks for the quick replies =)
I may have been a bit vague in the description. Yes the squadron was a unit if three buggies =)
Cheers=)

Still the same thing. Opponent has a squadron of 3 buggies. You fire at them and get one pen and one glance. Your opponent now chooses which buggy takes each hit and you roll for damage leaving him with one buggy destroyed, one weapon destroyed and one intact.
You fire again inflicting (for brevity) one pen and another glance. Your opponent now assigns a each hit to his buggies. It is perfectly legal for him to assign the penetrating hit to the buggy that all ready has suffered a weapon destroyed. Once he assigns you roll for damage.
