Hi guys, have now played a mighty two games and am now thinking about my next puchases ( I am waiting on my Dragoes to come back from being painted, and my Aleph stuff is in the post ) as I want to have a third choice after having used Pan O twice and have got my hands on the start of a Achilles list. I fancy a fast Jap sect list something like this.

What are some tactics you want to use with this list? That can tell more than anything. I don't like telling someone what to take and not to because it might be good on somethings and not others. The one thing I see is that the Doctor is only going to be useful for healing the Keisotsu. He won't be able to help the Oniwaban much because he's not going to be near him I bet. I certainly can't help the Aragoto unless he's on the back of a bike lol.

Well, I was planning on running the bikers up a flank, while using the 3 man Keitsotsu team/Kempei to block and hold my rear area backed up by the remote/hacker. The Doc was more a stocking filler to be honest, but I thought he might be usefull if I had some of the more important rear area staff go down. The infiltrator was going to be the main focus of the force, using the bikers to run interferance.

Like I said, I have two games worth of experience, plus some real world knowledge to work with when I came up with the list. It is mostly minis I like, but am not rigid on that point to have a good game. Thanks for taking the time to look!

No prob. The Dr. is not bad at all. In fact you keep him with the Kiesotsu to heal them up for your orders. Lots of guys witll target them to deprive you of orders. Your bikes, especially two of them are going to be order hogs. The Oniwaban can be as well. You might consider an Engineer instead of the doctor. At least he may have demo charges.

It's a little short on firepower. I'd probably give one of the Aragotos a spitfire and make the other one your hacker. With no repeaters, you're only good for defensive hacking with a Keisotsu. With the Aragoto, you could hack offensively if you had to and the points will be about the same since you're taking two bikers anyway.

I would not make the Oniwaban your Lt. You have the Kempetei for backup, but there's no need to make your Lt someone who has a great chance of dying like an Oniwaban. They often get killed after dispatching their target.

Other than that it looks pretty decent for 200 points. Your plan for using them is pretty sound and that's always key...

This is soild advice. While you could pass on the Hacker one at 200, it really depends on how REM and HI heavy the other players are, in 250-300pts he will shine. The Spitfire will be great getting the guys avoiding the HMG, he dosen't even have to use a order form the pool to get in range half the time, I really hate that .

The Oniwaban I would personally take as the Lt, not becouse he will die quickly. If used to pick off the guys that speed ahead or fall behind, his friends often don't get a chance for revenge. I just don't like paying for CH:TO and not using hidden depolyment, seem like a waste to me.

Good Luck, unless we play of course.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.
