Hello this is my second list for necrons. Please tell me how you feel about this little strategy list.

HQ
Overlord 180
warscythe
Mind shackle
Command Barge

Overlord 180
warscythe
Mind shackle
Command Barge

Court
3 Transmogrification teks 90
w/ Tremor staffs

Troops
5 warriors 65
5 warriors 65
5 warriors 65

Fast Attack
3 H. destroyers 180
3 H. destroyers 180

Elites
C'tan 265
Writhing world
trans-dimensional bolt

2 Triarch Stalkers 300

Heavy
2 monoliths 400

This is exactly 2000 points and the premiss of the list is to use the tremor staffs to limit mobility and possibly kill a few units through dangerous terrain tests. The obvious downside is if your opponent is a stagnant shooting army the strategy doesn't work. However lets assume your opponent is D. Eldar or orks or tyranids.... something mobile-ish. lol

Ive played 3 games against necrons in the last 2 days. My record was 1-1-1. The key to a necron army is large units of troops... that way you can keep respawning them. You have no idea how annoying it was to shoot plasma cannons at warriors... knock out 1/4-1/2 of the squad only for most of them to get back up. If I can destroy your entire squad... they dont resurrect. Also, Immotek... absolutely insane of a character... kept the game into night fighting until turn 4. 2 turns of "not being able to see" with my obliterator squads plasma cannons hurt. giving him ample opportunity to move up and tie much much smaller berzerker units into cc. And scarabs... need I say more... making my oblits have a 6+armor.... and my dreadnought armor 6!

If your playing D. eldar orks or nids you need tesla. Having all those heavy weapons does not benefit you too much and Dark Lances will rip the monolith apart. So will monstrous creatures from a nids list. I would look at dropping a monolith as they are not as durable as they once were and are no longer as effective deep striking and drop a destroyer squad and add in tesla immortals change the warrior squad to a squad of 15 and give them a ghost ark. If you add in a rez orb lord to the warriors you have a unit that is almost impossible to kill. Tesla immortals IIRC can benefit from the Triarch stalkers and would be much better served in that regard. 5 man squads of non relentless warriors are just asking to be wiped off the board. Also remember the C'tan is a 4++ invul. Mass shots while maybe needed 5s or 6s to wound will still take it down rather easily. Swarm of spirit dust might be a better power to keep him alive longer. Again these are just my observations. These still let you take advantage of the tremor teks but give you a little more staying power.

If i understand correctly, this list relies on heavy gauss and barges to take out armour and hard targets (and ordnance against transports), and on pieplates/portals coupled with dangerous terrain to take out hordes
Although the units are all quite small and will die if coughed on. outflankers, droppods, mycetic spores, other deepstrikers will take your meager troops apart ( Be careful with them.
