Ok started painting my bad moon ork part of my waaagh and the negro black is too shiny. I feel like I need to re arm them for bondage not war. Cause all I see is a ork in black latex.
So how can I kill the shiny could I wask it or what any help would be great thanks

You could always paint it with sating varnish afterwards. That should definitely kill the gloss.
Which range is your black from? Model colour, game colour?

Get the model colour #169 - matt black instead. It is the most matt black that I've ever used. The glossy black is not suitable for general usage without heavy matt/satin varnishing afterwards.

well you always seal your miniatures right?? The matt varnish will kill the gloss on it.

Thanks for the help. I'll try the matte too but I hit it with some devlan mud and it knocked alot of the gloss out of the black
