Hey, I need to have a chat with a psychiatrist about some side-effects of anti-depressants, if you are one (or hell if you have experience taking them) please PM me. Before anyone says anything, no its not for/about me, so please no commentary about how I should ask my doctor, thanks.

Have you googled it yet? I know many times Google will lead you to stupid people talking about how medicine will kill the world, but sometimes you find pearls of wisdom in it all

Yeah, I google'd it, but I'm primarily looking for professional input since there doesnt seem to be a lot out there on this specific problem and/or how to deal with it.

I'm not a psychiatrist but I (can) pretend to be one on the internet.

I got plenty of information online already, but i feel i've exhausted the help that it can give me with this situation. I want to hear from people that have first hand knowledge of this stuff and can advise me more directly.

If it's not for/about you, then I assume it's about a loved one.
If you're very close to the person in question (like a spouse, sibling, child, parent, etc): Call their doctor yourself and voice your concerns. Their doctor's info will be on the prescription bottle.
If you're not all that close to the person in question: Call one of their family and voice your concerns. Make clear what you're worried about, and encourage them to reach out to the doctor.
Speculating about medication (even with a professional) isn't ideal. You want to make sure the person actually in charge of treatment is the one made aware.

As a (absolutely not) Licensed (Internet) Psychiatrist I have to agree with Grakmar's evaluation and solution to the situation. You can trust me, I'm a (fake) Doctor.

Not an option as there is a bit of a distance issue with this. The person in question knows what the concern is, and promised to speak to their psychiatrist about it, but they haven't taken me very seriously and as best as I can determine the side-effect doesn't seem to be very common knowledge.

If you're dealing with an uncommon side effect to psychotropic medication in a third party, any advice you recieve will be very general at best.

I realize that, but i'm pretty desperate at this point. As i am out of contact with the person in question for the next few days I really have no other options :(

Uhm, a few off the top of my head from when I was taking some:
Changes in mood (quick changes)
Worse depression
Rash / hives
Vomiting what looks to be coffee grounds (that's a fun one... let me tell you)
That's the best I can do, as those are what hit me when I was on anti-depressants. More than that, you have to talk to a doctor.

Research the drug's name. It will come up with the side effects pretty easily. It would probably won't be as bad as some of my medicine which I don't take because I hate the effects it does on me.
