So if a Valkyrie/Vendetta outflanks the entire model must be on the board, you can't have the tail sticking out... BUT if you mount the plane like this the front of the base to the tail of the plane is JUUUUSST under 6", meaning I could legally move a Vendetta in from outflank and fire all 3 TL Lascannons. Is this legal or is this converting to give an unfair advantage? I'm not technically converting and it never says where I have to put the flying stand on the base... but I'd need to put a bunch of pennies/washers to balance it out haha

Wouldn't you start measuring from the nose when you enter the board? Vehicle measurement is from the front of hull not the base. IIRC

You'd have to measure from the nose, so twisting the base would make no difference.

The base is only used for assault and (in the case of the large oval base) for determining if the model is in/on terrain or on other models. You still measure from the hull for the purposes of movement.

Putting the base that way could still help with disembarking shenanigans though.

Yeah I'm much more worried about the Vendetta haha but it's all good.

The very minimum move you're looking at is 9" to get it on the board (pivoting sideways). Its been tried many times, there's just no way to get it on wih a 6" move.

I have never been able to see all this love for the vendetta. Sure they are good but since I fill the valks with melta vets its not like im hurting for anti tank.

Yeah but there are a ton of GK players here. So nothing makes me happier than having a Vend blow up a Storm Raven and then the Melta vets ID all the Paladins inside
