I've started doing some Green Stuff conversion work on a Baneblade I got from the Swap Shop:
Before:
After:
My biggest challenge is to do enough without overdoing it. I've got some additions I plan to add to it at some point such as adding in Nurglings to random places.
Any suggestions on what else can make this thing more in Papa Nurgle's image?

perhaps only the bolters in front. I would imagine a nurgle tank to have thing going out of any gun (to make it look like the gun is sick), perhaps something coming out the exhaust too.
Witht he nurgling, it will look pretty badass.

for a GW baneblade of some kind (as an apocalypse sheet) they had big vats of goo on the back of it.

I think it would look cool if the panels had a mottled, nasty, skin-like texture to them done with small amounts of green stuff. That and I would weather the hell out of it. I'm talking extreme amounts of rust. Cool idea would love to see how it turns out!

I can't think on anything in particular yet, but when painting it, whether it like the nine hells. Splatter washes and dirty things up. You could even add small amounts of gloss to give it a strange appearance, as though almost organic (in select places, otherwise it will just look like you spray painted gloss over the whole thing).. Also you could make small maggots (fine sized) to sprinkles across the tank, moreso in the flesh clumps. You can use rotting flesh and with a fine detail brush, paint small strokes to give impression of worms, if you rather not sculpt. Make sure they are small strokes.
Try using very, very thin strands of glue via glue gun inside the main barrel of the tank cannon, and those barrels at the back of the tank could be dripping with slime.

I'd like to echo Cave_Dweller's idea of painting lots of rust - it's one of Nurgle's colours, and would make the tank look great if you pick a good rust technique.
The goop oozing out of the fixed-forward gun is a great effect, and really makes the tank look infested. Good job.

Evil Goo coming from every opening. If it is suppose to be possessed make it look like the whole of the inside of the tank may be full of puss to the point that opening a hatch causes a stream of slim to fly out of the tank. Automatically Appended Next Post: Have a stream of it coming from the demolishes cannon And the main gun. Don't forget to also have some seeping out the holes on the side of the main gun to.

I think you've got a decent spread of major sculpted details in the front, at least. Perhaps a touch more work around the weapons, lights, and hatches. I think the key to not overdoing it is to limit large/detailed sculpting work to the tank's focal points and projecting parts - weapons, engine, etc. - with a handful of sculpted/kitbashed "vignettes" scattered around the flat areas for added interest (Nurglings, mutations, and the like, as you've done or considered). Light texture and a nasty looking paintjob across the rest of the tank will carry the feel without overloading the viewer with details.

I would feel inclined to add the triplet/triangle of pustules/sores/blisters that usually accompany anything nurgle to numerous locations on the tank.
The imperial aquillas on the treads need to go, but that is a HUGE job, so.... it's forseeable that you may gloss over that suggestion. It's customary to replace the back end of the turret or the hull with a sludge tank and fuel lines leading into the main body of the weapon, though frankly, I'm glad you haven't done that.
If this were me, I would chase/gild every corner of this thing, and then rime it over with kneadatite growths running across the entire thing, adding battle damage to a few places (scores, holes etc,) and pustules seeping out of them.

I think some bashes in the tank's armor would improve the texture dramatically, also try rubbing very small amounts of plastic glue over some of the surfaces, if you rub it in well enough you get an amazing nurgle texture

Try spreading some model glue on the panels and waiting for it to soften the plastic then use the round enr of your paintbrush to make the panels look diseased and pestulent.
