Hey everyone, here's some (hasty) pics of my Belial conversion. He's still a bit rough, and needs some bits painting up, but he's way too complete to not be in this section of the forum...





He's made with a selection of generic plastic terminator parts, and to alter his pose i cut his right leg at the hip joint and pushed the leg forward a bit to give him a striding/braced pose. I also cut down a bunch of small plasticard rod pieces and stuck them on the "ball" where his torso mounts to the legs- this made him about 2/3mm taller than your average Termie. I took some Dark Angel upgrade sprues and used the large winged angel icons on the front of each leg, with each one bent so that the wings wrapped around- where the plastic split open i just greenstuffed it full.. His sword is a Ravenwing sgt one, with the wider end points filed off, i wanted it to have the same shape as Azrael's Sword Of Secrets, showing their connected lineage. Instead of normal shoulderpads i decided to go a bit crazy and cut, heated, bent and superglued on some giant shoulderpads made from plasticard. This allowed me to paint on the Deathwing Symbol and the Dark Angel's Chapeter Symbol- this is also to show's Belial history as the former Master of the 3rd Company, as well as his current station. Lastly i decided he needed Wings and an Iron Halo- just because...

He just needs his face/hair details finished, and the nameplate on the front of his chest done (or, I might install some DA symbol...?) and he'll be complete.

I think he looks great. The pictures do not do him justice though. The free hand detail you did was very sharp. ++

Really cool take on belial. I am glad you eschewed the normal route most people take when modeling him.

The freehand is pretty sweet. Well done. The wings aren't for me, but overall he looks pretty badass.

I really like him but he is too clean for me. Weathering powers/chips is what I would do. Other than that, great model

I really like this conversion. I need to make mine, but I may go a similar route with converting a normal terminator. The shoulder pads are very large, but I think they are OK because you have the winged sword symbols on them, which is something I did with the top of my cyclone missile launcher terminator.

I like the idea of having the bolter metal be gold, but you may want to brighten it up a bit. It may be the picture, but it looks more brown than golden yellow.

The wings are take them or leave em. If removing would ruin the model's paint job then I'd leave them, but I think he already has enough tidbits to distinguish him, and they seem out of place. The leg angels are a bit much for my taste, but they still look good and are painted well.
