I know Vindicators aren't the best of choices for the Heavy Support slot, but, since I have 3 of them and 0 Predators, and only 1 Plasma Cannon Devastator Squad (3 plasma Devs, 1 Missile Dev), I figure the Vindicators are the better choice for some psychological value and, from the local tournament i played in, tend to live for a decent amount of time, and can absorb a shocking amount of fire if positioned correctly.
I have two suicide speeders, since when I do play vehicle armies, I see fun things like Monoliths, Land Raiders, Barges, etc. I figure if one of these speeders can take something expensive down, they've done their job. The other one is for long ranged fire support, and to add some more weight to my missile launchers. Heck, the Suicide Speeders would even be good for mopping up Dreadnaughts, since, multimeltas in the face of dreadnaughts is going to ruin their day.
Tactical Squads will either be chilling in my deployment zone if it's a KP game as two large squads, or in objective games, roaming in the Razorbacks to cap objectives. Tad more expensive then metal boxes, but, a lascannon/assault cannon adds a decent amount of firepower coming out of my deployment zone, or even as just mobile cover for the vindicators. (mobile cover with teeth, of course.)
The Sternguard are generally my unit that makes a jump across the field to wreck stuff. While they aren't combi melta armed, they tend to ruin any large gribblie (or even ruin a large squads..) day. 18 Hellfire Round shots is alot of wounds, about 9-10 on an average day. The Librarian can also drop an avenger template, or give them an invulnerable save if there are power weapons about. I've found that Veterans can pack a surprising punch, as some people don't expect Bolter toting marines to have 2 attacks base.
And the Librarian, of course, is a mobile hood/super flamer/invulnerable save boss. Though, I could drop the invulnerable save for the Nullzone, but I don't see much of a point when the unit he's going with isn't going to cause many invulnerable saves.
Any C&C would be welcome. I'd like to see other people's views on my list, where it can be improved, what buys I could make to make it stronger. (invest in combi meltas from Chapterhouse? Turrets from Chapterhouse? Predators? etc.)
Thank you in advance,
-Crazyterran

With 2 lascannon in a Rhino parked behind some cover, you are looking at a 4+ cover save AND immune to small fires. Fire Warriors with str5 shots? Lots of Str 4 shots from GK stormbolters? Lots of Str 6 shots from shuriken cannons?
You can take those all for one turn before you start gunning them down. Plus, assault units will have to pop your transport before they can get to you. Even if they pop the transport, you can jump out from the back door (optionally fall back 2D6 if you lose some guys) and then move forward on your turn to gun them down with combi-melta before charging them with your 3A on a charge.
Special ammunition is very good of course. Another thing you can do is to use that Rhino to block line of sight from those plasma guns while your guys keep popping dragonfire bolts (30" range) + Lascannon at the other half of the army. And when they come for you soon, hop onto the Rhino, tank shock it 6" forward and rapid fire your vengence rounds from inside (like a boss).
