Tell me how you do!
Clearly, it's a close-combat wonder, but it has such a diverse and interesting set of armaments. My current 1000 point list is pretty decently rounded, since I have that Pedro Kantor/Sternguard combo, but if I ever wanna jump up to, say, 1500, I'm seriously considering an Ironclad. Can y'all tell me how you kit your Ironclads, and what you do with them?

So no upgrades or anything? I would imagine the extra armor or assault launchers would come in handy.

There are two ways I run one.
The first is drop pod plus a heavy flamer over the dreads storm bolter. The second includes assault launchers on the dread and sometimes I add a deathwind launcher on the drop pod.
The dread is a vehicle killing machine with the seismic hammer, never remove it.
Extra armor comes standard. Assault launchers are great when you have the points but don't have to be on the dread.
I simply drop 2 ironclads as above on first turn, pop smoke and maneuver around. My opponent is going to blast the dread no matter what, so normally my deathwinds fire next turn. Besides an av 13 dread is hell to destroy when they don't get those bonus attacks for charging.
If you aren't running him in a drop pod, then give him two hunter killer missiles as well as the combo's above, and let him mope around and be annoying on his way to crush things.
With the heavy flamer and melta, he makes a great addition to any vulkan list. Provided you have enough ironclads (3+)

Since I run fairly shooty Crimson Fists, I think those HK missiles would be a good move.

I would recommend having the ironclad work with your list. If you have tons of anti tank but little anti horde, I would suggest dual heavy flamer, two hunter killers and assault launchers if you can spring for them.

This all sounds awesome awesome awesome. I do think I'm lacking in anti-horde, so I'll be taking that heavy flamer, the HK missiles, and the seismic hammer. I may drop pod him, or I may just walk him up the board. Not quite sure.

I take it with the Seismic hammer, Heavy Flamer, and Meltagun. ICAL if I can afford it.
Run it within Pedro's bubble for maximum lollage.

Ooo keeping pedro nearby is a good plan, nothing like 6 dreads with 5 attacks on the charge.

Its more devestating with Terminators. But dreadnoughts are a nice side effect.
And its always a nasty surprise when someone charges your Sternguard unit and then realizes they have 3 attacks each.

Well, the MofF leading 6 Ironclads is a scary prospect. What else would you include in such a list?

Heh, I'll run that on my 2500 point list. It'll play second fiddle to my Land Raiders, though. Two Godhammers with Sternguards, and a Crusader with Assault Terminators. Try dealing with THAT kinda armor while you've got 6 ironclads dropping down into your back lines.

You'd have 210 points to spend on troops. Good luck winning objective missions.

Well if I put Pedro Kantor in with the AssTermies, they go into beastmode with extra attacks, and all the elites can score objectives. Besides, there's no way I, personally, could resist playing something like that, even if it's not competitive. Too much awesome.

You also can't have 6 Iclads and 2 squads of Sternguard.

Dude, it'd be totally worth it to just paint 'em and look at them! I mean... Damn, dude. Six dreads, three Raiders. You'd need to be CRAZY to play something like THAT!

Personally, I love Ironclads, but I like dreads in general.
I've got 5 or so dreads laying around, but the most often taken is my Iclad. It almost never stops being a pain in the butt.
I've only had one really memorable death with it, but it's won me plenty of games. Heavy flamer, melta, 2xHK's, seismic hammer, and launchers make it a pretty expensive unit, but it never fails to mess up someone's plans. The HK missiles are great when you have that squadron of bikes/elites/kanz/koptaz/anything with T4 or less out in the open, especially if they were expensive, moreso if they have a scout move.

I too, am a huge fan of Dreads, that's why I'm lookin'! I'm at an even 1000 points right now, but, for when I jump up to, say 1500, I'm looking to increse my fleet. I've got one standard, right now, so I'm either looking at two rifleman dreads to make my already admittedly shooty list extra-shooty, and let my standard dread move in for CC, or grab two Ironclads and let my Standard cover them with TL- LCs and missiles.
