Ok, so i've been fairly 'on the fence' about the new Citadel paints. I've even moved away from Citadel for many colours..

But i have to say Ceramite White is the most amazing thing i have ever seen. Painting a metal Kroxigor for my blood bowl team and its on in one THIN coat, perfect coverage, no obscuring of detail. It's White spray in a pot.

Mind. blown.

Seriously, try it out, i even watered it down a touch...

Balthasar Gold is amazing for my Iron Warriors. Just black spray, Leadbelcher, Balthasar Gold, Agrax Earthshade, Gehenna's Gold. Done. It goes on so smooth.

Yes, it's excellent. It even goes on well over a black undercoat. I've used it as a basecoat for the new yellows and been pleased with the results.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

To be fair the new range (when you get used to the new names) is awesome.

Life is a journey, shame about the destination.....

Still not sure about the layers, (i can water down my own paints thank you very much) but from what i've seen of the base paints the coverage (even over dark colours) is excellent. Nice to have Glazes back too.

The new range seems to be much better than the old one. The Names are the only thing that's keeping me away from them, and that's a simple transition.

I need to pick up some equivalents of Mechrite Red, Red Gore, Baal red, Devlan Mud, Badab Black, Boltgun Metal, Chainmail and Khemri Brown..... I think I'll just go by color rather than name
