K forgive another noob question, it was a bit more complicated than this but im trying to keep it simple.
This came up today and im not sure how we were supposed to handle it.

B = Bloodletters
S = Spawn
T = Terminators

BBB T
BBB TTT S
BBB T

The bloodletters (initiative 5) killed 2 terminators resulting in this
BBB T
BBB T - - S
BBB T

As the spawn (initiative 3) is no longer in base contact does he still get to attack?

No, any models that were engaged at the start of the assault phase get to make their attacks (assuming they're still alive at their Initiative step), and removing casualties doesn't change that. (BRB Page 35)
