Ok, so first off these two lists will not have points values (as i'm doing this from my phone at work, but i know all units/ugrades and the overall costs, if that makes sense)

First up is the 2k list i plan on running:

HQ: Typhus
Summoned Greater Daemon

Elites: Terminators, (4 guys) MoN, 2x power fists, 2x twin LCs, Land Raider

Troops: 3x Plaguemarine squads (all three are identical). 6+champ, 1 plasmagun, 1 power weapon, melta bombs, rhino

FA: Chaos Bikers x5, MoN

HS: 2x Defilers, replace heavy flamer and autocannon w/ DCCWs (for 5 attacks assuming all 4 dccws are alive)

Which brings this list to just slightly under 2k. The plan here is typhus runs with termies in land raider, Greater daemon (using the GUO model from forge world) gets summoned into one of the plague squads, sine i dont want to lose typhus.

The other list is 1748 point, and here it is:

HQ: Typhus

Elites: termies (x4), MoN, 2x PFs, 2x Twin LCs, land raider

Troops: 3x Plaguemarines (as above)

FA: bikers x5, MoN

HS: obliterators, x2


My concerns here are whether to run the oblits as two solo teams, or a pair

I know that bikers are regarded as the suck in chaos, but i really dont care that much, im doing some heavy converting on this army, so they look wicked.

Another concern i had, in the 2k list, i actually wanted to get my 2 obliterators into the list, but beyond the summoned daemon (who was thrown into this list in light of this problem) I am not sure what i am willing/able to drop to fit them in.

I'd get a 2nd plasma gun in the plague marine unit over a power weapon.

Plague Marines are I3, so fist or nothing.

Aside from that, the bikers are massively expensive and not going to do anything. T6 Bolters? Get them meltas or plasmas or a fist or something...

Yep, definitely get your 2nd special weapon for each squad. It's one of the key strengths of PMs.

I'm not a fan of bikers either. I'd take a Daemon Prince or Oblits over them.

Thing is, with the Plaguemarines, I am using the basic box set, with no conversions (at the time i got them, I just didn't have the kind of time for conversions that I do at the moment)

I know that the bikers are not an optimal unit, but the song in this link: spurred my desire to make a plague marine army, and so I bought the plague marine conversion kit from FW, and some bikes, and the major conversion for them is that they are all riding on choppers (pics should be coming soon, once they are assembled)
