We have recently signed Worthy Painting as the official Tor Gaming painting Studio and they have been working on the very very soon to be released Nuem for Relics.

You may have seen the pics elsewhere, but just in case you haven't, here are the pics of the Dedicatus:









Worthy Painting are currently working on the next set of models for the Nuem, the Paenitentiam and we will preview the pics of those soon.

All these bad boys will be available for pre-order very soon via our 'Pre-Order Plus' system - a crowd-funding project that isn't a 'All or nothing' system. This allows us to use what money is pledged and means we can do a 'Pre-Order Plus' system that works like this:

You pledge for the reward you want and you will get it guaranteed. It doesn’t matter how much we raise, you will get what you asked for at the very least. So by pledging you are buying. So, what makes it different?

Well, if the reward you selected has the text ‘TARGET BUSTER’ in it, the more that is pledged to the project in total, the more YOU will get! Let’s take a look at an example (the following is just an example...The actual targets and rewards may be differ):

You pledge for the NUEM STARTER SET – That is yours, guaranteed. It will be sent out to you once we have them produced. The project has an initial target of $XXX. If we do not hit this target, no worries – you will still get your Nuem Starter Set. However, if we do hit the target then in addition to your NUEM STARTER SET, you will also receive a copy of the SPECIALIS PUERI sculpt for FREE!.

At this point, we will set a new target and a new TARGET BUSTER reward:

So, we have hit the first target! Great!! Now is time for a new target. Let’s say we set a new target of $YYY with a bonus of a minimum sized unit of AUXILIUM CONCURSUS. If this target is not reached, you will still get your NUEM STARTER SET plus the SPECIALIS PUERI. But if we DO hit this new target, you will get your NUEM STARTER SET, the SPECIALIS PUERI and the minimum sized AUXILIUM CONCURSUS All for the price of your initial pledge!

This continues until the project ends or we just run out of what we can give you!!

Anyway, now I can see them, no - the promo idea is a good one, and if I actually liked the models I'd go for it in a heartbeat, but...no. the stubby legs kill it for me

The content of the Nuem starter set is to be two of the Dedicatus above (one of each sculpt with enough arms to make both models as either variants) and 9 Paenitentiam.

The Paenitentiam are Nuem criminals. They have committed some crime against Nuem society and the only way you punish a member of a society that holds suffering above all else is to take their suffering away!

The Paenitentiam are removed from their pain suits (as seen in the pics above), fitted with replacement legs to allow them to move and left to experience no suffering - Weird but that's how you punish a Nuem!. During times of war, their malformed arms are fitted with blade tipped chains and they are let loose on the enemy to atone for their crimes. If they survive, they are out back into their pain suits and rejoin Nuem society as full members again.

We don't have pics of the model yet (they are being painted at the moment) but here is the concept are for them. You can see how being in a pain suit of one sort or another for all of their lives (from birth...) their limbs growth have been stunted so they need augmented limbs....

The Pre-Order plus system sounds interesting.
