Hey all! I have been a long time reader of these forums, but never have posted. My gaming group has been growing and growing and well we have been running into some gray areas in the rules. Hoping the wise ones on the boards here can help answer (even though some of these might have been answered already, but i suck at finding previous posts).

1) Special rules on units... If a unit is given a special via a spell, character ability, item, etc.. does the whole unit get it, including mounts, that is of course if the description of the ability doesn't include that "does not affect mounts" an example of this would be warriors of chaos with their mark or banner that gives a unit frenzy, a friend and I looked at it and didn't know if it would apply to the mounts.

2) If a undead unit crumbles from combat resolution, can the enemy unit (amusing that they charged) overrun? We looked at this and couldn't figure it out since technically the undead unit lost, but their unbreakable so they don't break, and seeing that the unstable rule doesn't apply until after combat res phase, would the charging unit get to overrun, even though the time i believe they could in the phase passed?

3) Sniper rule...Can a model with a sniper rule snipe a character in a unit that is in a building? Under the sniper rules it says you have to see the model, but if the model is in a building, the building rules say treat shooting attacks as hard cover? so is it even possible or does the sniper just take an additional -2 for hard cover?

4) Ambushers/scouts....can units with these special rules just choose to deploy as normal or do they have to deploy as such? also this combines with a TK question of mine as well with the it came from below rules.

5) Can you mutlishot, volley fire, etc.. on stand and shoots? I know they faq'ed sniper that your couldn't anymore but can you do so with these?

6) distribute as shooting...this is where i get very confused, when dealing with impact hits and shooting, if i understand it correctly, lets say you got 11 hits on a 9 man unit with a character, you would put 1 hit on each guy and the character and then put the last few on the unit? and going on with that, lets say it was only 5 hits, does it just go on the unit seeing that characters with 5 or more of the same type cant be targeted out? or would the character be hit as say with a chariot if the chariot is in base contact?...so confused with this.

*edit*

oh yeah one more as well...sorry for all these.

7) random movement and also chariots...how does this work with terrain? I know for a dangerous terrain check, you need to be charging, fleeing, pursuing, marching in like a forest or a wall to make one. However lets say (snotling pump wagon) rolls 3d6 and gets 12 that would bring him through a forest into a unit, would it have to take a check?or seeing that its random movement , it doesn't have to?

If something gives a special rule to the unit, everything in the unit gets it

Yes you can overrun; at the end of combat resolution the enemy is dead

Yes you can snipe out of a building

Both of these rules are optional, from memory

Yes you can multishot when S&S

No, as the unit has more than 5 RnF models in it, meaning the character CANNOT be hit. You CANNOT wound characters with normal shooting when you have more than 5 RnF. Entirely impossible.

No terrain check, from memory, as it isnt a charge move

Are you sure? My impression was that if you kill them all by attacks, then yes, you may overrun. However, if you only kill some, and the rest crumbles, you may only reform.
Of course I might be wrong, but it would be great if you could find a page of FAQ reference.

Question 7) Rulebook FAQ pg 7:
Q: Does a Random Move count as a ‘normal’ move for triggering
a Dangerous Terrain test? (p74)
A: Yes, unless the model is making a charge, pursuit or flee
move, in which case it counts as a move of the appropriate type.

As for Question 2, pg 58 under Overrun! says "If a unit charges into close combat and, by the end of the round of close combat, all its enemies have been wiped out as a result of the combat (rather than persuit) the unit can choose to make a persuit move, even with nobody left alive to persue.

To me this would allow an overrun after an unstable unit dissolves as the charging unit has had all of its enemies wiped out though combat, not by persuing and catching them.

Okay cool!

Didn't see the faq on the random move, that makes sense now. Makes flappas on the pump wagon semi-worth it. The over run on undead makes sense when put that way. And now i see that thing about the randomize shooting, makes more sense.

Thanks!
