I have the AOBR Orcs and want to build a second army around them. I love my Space Marines and will play them as much as I can but want another option because all my friends play SM to.

I want it easy on the wallet but fun to play.

What do you think?

I like this topic though. AoBR is as cheap as it gets. Most people on ebay take the Marines and sell the Ork. I got 3 AoBR sets for $50 each :O yeah it was a steal. SO, hmmm...

Ork stompas, AKA, all those boys will just walk, add a Nob to each squad and that is your army. Take off the Nob's close combat weapon for a Power Fist. Scratch build with sprue if you want.

Magnatize them if you want just in case you want to mix it up. You can change the big shootas into ML or Flamers so that is another option. You will also need force fields, and some cans. You can use your Fast Attack as those Coptas but still need anti tank and the cans.

Depends on how large you want to grow it, the easiest thing to do is get more boyz, and go green tide.
A lot of painting, but a fun way to play, and easy on the wallet.
You should be able to get AoBR boyz for as little as a dollar a model, if not cheaper.

Well what do you consider cheap?

Green tide is rather boring IMHO. You could do kan wall, a type of green tide. Lots of walkers and a few boys. BW rush. As many BW you can fit with boys and nobs in them. Speed freek, lots of trukks with a bunch of boys and possible bikes with buggies and koptas for support. There are a few options with the green skins.

You might want to wait until the 6th ed book comes out. Orks might get hurt pretty bad. SO I have heard.

Or you can forgo any advice like most starting Ork players and build an army that suits you
