Hi

Just finished my SoB Canoness and thought I'd put her up here for some critism.

I've been back into the hobby for just over a year now and think she is one of my best painted minis so far. I even used my dreaded photo tent as well

Please let me know what you think so I can keep improving my skills.

Thanks

She definetly is a very nice model, I dig the red cloth and the b lue highlights, well done!

But since you want some advice on how to improve, I'll point out that the weapons could look a little more "special". I don't know if its just the image, but the gun looks too dark and common, not shiny enough. Its the same with the sword, I think it'd look better with bright and shiny colors.....

thats just my personal opinion, handle it with care

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

Very nice. I think the balance between the colors is dead on. I would suggest that you put a little more time into the white cloak. In the photos, it looks alittle uneven and since it covers so much of the back it will be worth the extra effort.

Still, really nice.

Looks great. I like how you used contrasting colours.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I'll put another highlight on the cloak and see how it turns out.

As for the weapons, I wanted to keep them dark so they wouldn't draw attention away from the main body of the mini. This is the scheme the whole army will be in.

I like the flames, I really like her hair, and I love that sword. I think the back of her cloak could use some work. She's a very busy model, visually speaking, and I feel like that big open field of white just cries out to have something else done to it.

Thanks I'm glad you like her. I'm no good at free hand so don't dare try anything on the cloak.

It's great - I wonder if the black rim looks right, though...

I'm so used to doing them black I never even thought of doing them a different colour.

Really enjoy your bat reps by the way
