I've always wanted to model a space marine army as anti-bug; with all sorts of acid cratering in the armor, a scything talon protruding from a base; and all types of heretical trophies of battle arrayed on their armor. Everyone always thinks of Ultramarines when they think of Nids...the problem being that I play Dark Angels. I have a Deathwing force now, although I have a feeling my models are about to become perilously outdated. In any case, I'm looking to expand the Deathwing as well as introducing a Ravenwing and Greenwing force to flesh out the chapter.

I know the Deathwing have their storied armor from their last stand on Plain's World with the Genestealer invasion and what not. (Although it's debatable whether that's all a made up story to feed the uninitiated...)

Does the rest of the chapter have any recorded battles with any specific Hive Fleets or campaigns against the bugs?

I would hugely appreciate the input of our resident fluff experts.
