Don't know an awful lot about elves.

I like the choice of heroes, just a little concerned about your lack of firepower or is your WE friend bringing the pain in that respect?

Were are all the bows!? Elves have the best bows in the game (arguably) so take advantage!

12 elven bows + 3 from legolas and 2 from Haldir is a not great at 1000pts between the two, I can't help but feel you are defying the point of playing elves with these lists, sorry if that comes across as rude, I don't intend it to sound so.

i have to stick with the bow limit for both armies which is a major problem only being allowed 33% of the army troops to be bows

Oh I know that mate, but you could have more bows in the first list, you only have 5.

i tried it the other day though and smashed a gondor army
which had aragorn and as many gondor aas he could field with captains
The wood elf list is good it massacred dwarves and bet every other army i have seen it play against which is almost everyone

And the you can take more in the second list. You have 8 bows and 31 guys! You could fit 3 more bows in
