I think this would be a great alternative for mangler squigs in a orc and goblin army.

I wish you'd gone for them on separate bases. Is there still time to change it?

Everyone I've seen using GW's model has cut off the top squig and put it on a separate base...

Personally, I would've loved two slightly smaller beasts tied together (like it's described) but if you sell it like this, most folks will do just like the GW one and put the higher squig on a separate base.

Perhaps split the difference, and just provide two bases with it, and pictures of them based separately as an option, since they look like two separate pieces anyway?

the models are obviously separated from the bases... I'll sell both of them together, but if you want you can have a second base and put them separated..

consider that my crushers are tall (together) quite half that the GW mangler squigs...

I'll give you a photo with the proportions with an orc

From the pictures, it looks like the leaping one doesn't touch or mount to the lower one in any way and is held up by the toes on the rock.

I like them a lot! I think they might have some fun 40k implications too for a feral army. Being clean squiggly faces, it might be a good fit for attaching to a dinosaur body for a more squggy squiggoth without it being simply a dinosaur.

Look forward to seeing them painted and comparison shots too!

I've been dying for some good third part squigs to use for various parts of my Ork army, can't wait to see the additional pics.
If everything looks good, sign me up for a dozen!

What size is that base? Are they roughly the size of the GW Mangler Squigs or the smaller, boss-mount, Great Squigs?

I am going to assume if they are 'not-manglers' then that is a 60mm. I feel there is a market for 60m, 40mm and 25mm squigs that look good. (for all you sculptors out there!)

You are right!

here you are a quick photo that will explain you to the real proportion of this model... I've compared it with a WHFB savage orc!

The base of the model is a round base with the same dimension of a dreaghnout or squig mangler base!

- the jumping crusher is properly made for don't touch anything, he's fixed in the base with a strong pin!
the piece counts 7 components: two bodies, 2 pairs of legs and a base... so if you want to convert anything or separate them you can do it easily!

- the price of the model is 20€
if you are interested just send me a PM or a mail at raccolor@libero.it

I feel like the legs are too long/bulky. Can anyone whose actually seen a Mangler (I've just seen pics) give me an estimate as to how this stacks up size-wise to those?

Longer legs than the GW equivalent perhaps, but I rather like these, they seem quite well-proportioned. The mention of the dread-sized base makes me want to get some to count-as Ork close combat Dredds
