Question: If you wrap termagaunts around your tyrant brood, will it give cover saves to both units?

Units:
Swarmlord, 2 Tyrant Guard, Tyranid prime
Large blob of ~20 termagaunts

Reasoning:
Firing at Swarmlord's unit - From the picture as you can see, the majority of the swarmlords unit (2 Tyrant guard and the tyranid prime) have intervening infantry (gaunts). Since the majority of the swarmlord's unit is in cover, the unit is granted a cover save.

Firing at the gaunts - From the picture, at least half the gaunts have intervening units (tyrant guard, swarmlord) that partially or fully block line of sight to the gaunt brood. This would grant the termagaunts a cover save too.

Is this setup allowed? Would adding more termagaunts behind the swarmlord make it legal?

Check BRB FAQs before positng, is the general rule.

This is a variation on the checkerboard pattern. In this instance the gaunts, as the closest of the two units, would not get cover.

The tyrant guard unit, would gain a cover save due to intervening units. The hormagants, however, would not. See WH40K FAQ.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
