Ive been given the following army and was just wondering how good it is before i break.it apart...

it includes:

typhus
demon prince MON

7 chosen 5 melta guns MON (in rhino with demonic possession)
5 terms MON 5 twin lightning claws (in land raider with demonic possession)
1 Dreadnaught can remember the gun he has...

7 plauge marines with champ and plasma gun (in rhino with demonic possession)
7 plauge marines with champ and plasma gun (in rhino wuth demonic possession)
7 summond demons
7 Summond demons

2 vindicators with demonic possession
1 predator with twin lascannon and 2 side apon lascannons with demonic.possession...

thats about 2500 i worked out. how do you think it wojld.play? and with changing as few models as.possible. how would you drip this to a good 1.5k?

or is it worth changing the god in this army?

IMO you have too many possessed vehicles, you might want to drop the dread for some more troops. At 2500 points you should have more Troop choices then 2 squads. Even at 1500 points you will need scoring units.

The fluff works against you as you already have Typhus, you don't really need a Nurgle Daemon Prince. Also keeping 100% Nurgle means no Bezerkers which are the main CC unit.

ok cool... so drop the demonic possession on the shooting tanks perhaps? that frees up 80 pts... drop typhus seen as he cant go anywhere really... and fill those points with more marines?

Daemon Prince, you need wings, otherwise not worth having. If you want a power, take Wind of Chaos.
If you want Typhus (and he's probably fairly useful at 2500) you need to drop one terminator.
I'd recommend getting at least one CF/PF in that termie unit as well. MON isn't the best upgrade with LCs, but your playing a Nurgle army so I suppose you could keep it
With your Chosen, not much point being fluffy and taking 7, and MON. Just wasted points. Rhinos never need Daemonic possession, its 20 points, only worthwhile on Land Raiders and Vindicators. I think your saving 86 points by dropping them down to 5, taking off MON and Daemonic possession, add that to the 40 points saved from dropping a terminator (or 225 from dropping Typhus) your already gaining a decent amount of points to invest elsewhere.

Dreads in Chaos, are best with just CCWs. Unless it has a plasma cannon, then you'd be fairly safe running it close to the Land Raider. But i personally only bother with the 105 (or 115) point cost 2x CCW Dreads, with a heavy flamer. Lone Dreads, in a Chaos army, i'm also not sure about. Although Dreads look cool.

You don't need a Plague champ, if you do he needs a Power Fist, but be aware your squad is very expensive. Again no Daemonic Possession on the Rhino.
At 2500 you really want more scoring units, 7 lesser daemons aren't going to survive too long. To benefit them, i'd also suggest personal icons on your PM units, gives them more options.

Predator would be best off with AC and lascannon sponsons. No Daemonic possession, you don't want your shooty tank to have BS3, doesn't matter with vindicator as its scatter.

I'd recommend another Plague Marine unit or two, maybe 5 man with 2 meltaguns, in rhinos of course. More LEsser Daemons could work as well.

Not sure what to do for 1500 really, drop the LAnd Raider and Termies would be my first suggestion. To be honest its easier starting from scratch.

Changing God, you don't need to. If your not that dedicated to Nurgle, just go mutli-god, or vaguely Nurlge themed. You don't need to stick to the 7 in a squad, or have MON on every squad. Its nice, but it makes the list worse.

Rogers37 covered most of the points, but I will recap:

Typhus will likely travel in the Land Raider with the Termies, so drop one Terminator so he can fit in.

Give the Prince wings.

Chosen Rhino doesn't need the Daemonic Possession.

Plasma Cannon or Lascannon for the Dreadnought.

Not enough Troops. I would have AT LEAST 3 Squads of Plague Marines.
Each Plague Marine squad should have 2 special weapons, probably 2 squads of double Plasmas, and 1 of Meltas (make them your Tank Hunters).
If you're going to have a champ he really should have a Power Fist. Considering they are I3 and already going last, it's an ideal upgrade.

Paired Vindi's with Daemonic Possession is great.

Autocannon Pred with Lascannon sponsons - drop the Daemonic Possession.
