Subject: No storm bolters for my Rhinos!

Hello all! New, if my post count didn't give that away.
I got my claws on the Black Reach set a while back, but expanded with a bunch of e-bay purchases and a VERY generous friend in Britain's gifts, but unfortunately, that friend was a Chaos player. He mailed me some nifty bits that I've been able to use, and the 10 marine tactical box set, but the two rhinos he sent along with this were chaos rhinos. I've shaved off all the eight pointed stars, daemon faces and what not, but I've run into a issue with weapons. The buggers have these havoc launchers, but no visible storm bolters. As I can't find any analogue for missile racks (aside from single HK missiles) for Rhinos, I assume I'll be cracking these off.. but afterwards, I shall have no storm bolters onboard!
Are there any tips for scratchbuilding, or converting some other parts INTO vehicle mount storm bolters? I've got an old dreadnought storm bolter, but it looks rather puny compared to what I've seen in pictures for Rhinos mounting storm bolters.

I'd check ebay and bits sites for them or the vehicle upgrade sprue which has plenty of tridlins like the storm bolters, hunter killer missiles (which can be converted to ML's for foot marines), and cupolas.
I used AoBR Terminator storm bolters (converting the Termies into assault termies and using the power fists on my vet sarges) for my rhinos, but the models I use are the OOP rhino which is smaller than the current model, so they look properly scaled.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

You could always shave off the side details and glue two boltguns together

Just get the SM vehicle upgrade sprue. You can buy another vehicle that has the sprue but doesnt use the storm bolter (eg. Razorback or Predator).

I sadly can't afford an upgrade sprue, else I'd just nab one as a matter of course. Cheap as they might be, building the armies up to the point I've already got them at has broke me. I'm down to nothing but left over bitz and green stuff.

Two blotguns glued together will work. Just go the extra effort of making them look stormbolter-y. The counts-as rule is your friend!

The bolt guns glued together is looking like my best bet. I assumed I'd be doing something 'counts as,' I've done a lot of similar stuff thus far! Just a noob at such things, wished to get advice from the experienced masters.
I do have a mess-o-bolt guns after the tactical box. Beneficial!

Another good stand in for pintle-storm bolter is the "brive me closer!" as i call it,
basicly, marine standing out the top hatch dual weilding boltguns, easy to do with two pistol arms, spare bolters and a little time and effort
|
"i just met you, and this is crazy,
but heres my number, so call me baby."
"erm..... no" |

That does sound awesome, and I would do that, but I don't have the parts necessary for such a thing. Don't have an open hatch bit, nor a back torso bit (and only one front torso bit). Don't think I've got enough pistol arms either, but that wouldn't be a huge issue; I've done green stuff/knife conversions on the regular arms to make them single before.

Well, you can keep your Rhino without a storm bolter and add it laters, when you get your hands on more bits.

Any Space Marine player will have extras, I think each Marine vehicle comes with an extra storm bolter, if memory serves correctly. Hit up your friends at the FLGS.
