so i was messing around with the army maker (I LOVE THAT THING)

and came up with this list, and i was wondering if it would be a good place to start collecting and playing infinity from.

and yes i am aware that that the sectoral is harder to play, but really those minatures are the ones that i think look the best.

Would this stand a chance against anyone or would i just get blown off the table?

deployment thoughts would be this

Doctor starts prone and hangs with Lasiq sniper to keep her shooting
other Lasiq stays relativly close to Ghulam as they advance up... fyi, i am stubborn so they will be in a link team, (seems like a great mechanic and makes hiding the rather obvious Lt a little easier)
and the remote will be tagging along with either the "normal" Lasiq or the Ghulam's as needed/situation requires.

so any thoughts?
a viable starting point?

Sounds good, and you've already spotted the awesomeness that is the Lasiq Sniper. The next bits are generally personal opinion/playstyle, so take with a large helping of salt.

I'm more of a proponent of getting the Lasiq up to the middle of the board and using Climbing Plus to get a commanding view somewhere, but you can also do that with the Rifle Lasiq instead and keep the VSniper back in your deployment zone.

Minor notes on the Ghulam Link: It's neat, just remember that if you use your LT order while within the link, you break the link, iirc. Also, it could be dangerous keeping all 3 possible lieutenants in the same rough area. Gives enemy assassin/AD troops a big target immediately. I prefer to seed my Ghulam LTs and his/her two doppelgangers separately in my rear line with roughly overlapping firezones so that a single Rambo figure can't get all three simultaneously. But if you do plan to use them offensively, link team massively boosts efficiency.

It looks pretty good. You already have the concept of the Link team down. I wouldn't change anything there.

Phelan gave some good advice there but can you tell use what you might be up against too? That can help. While I believe you can use the same force for all comers I don't believe in using the Same tactics for all.

Right now there are Three factions i am really worried about taking on with this list.

PanO: better at shooting and all that Camo
Nomads: the guided missile thing and tons of... well everything
YuJing: same as above, cept they have that missile guy... Hac Tao i think he's called, that and they just seems really scary
Aleph: the Myrmadons and their ODD thing where you are always at a -6 (i think ) to shoot at

i guess i am just kinda worried that i am going to go up against one of them and get completely wipped out.

That and i am just kinda nervous as to how well the Fiday will do as i feel that will make a huge difference in game.

yeah thats it.

oh and phelanw0lf

as for keeping them all in togeather was primarily cause then the opponent only gets 1 Aro against all of them.

That and then i could possibly cover their advance with the Lasiq from up high and the other on the ground. plus with a remote to bring them back i hope they will be a big enough threat (and a juicy enough target) that he will send most things against them. then i can (hopefully) gain a bit of control over the game as to where he goes.

Also never thought of moving the Sniper Lasiq up to the middle to get better board control board. i will definatly have to try that out some time.

so yeah i am primarily worried about. YuJing, PanO, and Nomads

Okay that helps a bit. Those three are similar in HI and skills. As far as making a list, like I told Ender who is going up against PanO is to play to the Haqqislam strength in numbers. You should always outnumber those armies.

As far as your list goes, if you weren't doing Baharam I'd say take Djanbazan for their MSV. For all of them I'd do at least a few Ghazi. Those guys can be trouble for their HI and other high tech stuff. Daylami are also good distractions, particularly the one with limited camo and infiltration. The problem with both is they are irregular but cheap! they are used to keep pressure on while Lasiqs and/or Muyibs target them.

A Farzan FO in work with a GML Remote or Muyib Grenade launcher can also be fun

I'd stay away from any more than one Asawira or Ragiks. They are great for high pts games but I would never take something like that for low.

I don't know why everyone is scared about getting missile-sniped. From what I've seen every single army has the capability to do that with remotes. Even Haqq has the remote with Guided Missiles. You can take a Najjarun and a Farzan, scout up with the Farzan and Forward Observe the remote.

I don't know why everyone likes to make their Lieutenant some squishy figure like a Ghulam or Line Kazak. I guess it makes sense since you could have a lot of them, and they aren't exactly targets of opportunity... but I think picking something with a bit more survivability is fun.

If you're going to run a link Team in a Bahram list, why not look at Muyibs? They have cool sculpts and a pretty solid statline. You won't have a full Link Team of 5, but you can have 4, One be the Lieutenant, a Doctor, and even drop a Spitfire in there to give people hell. Real tough Light Infantry.

The Fiday is fun. Practice with him, get the hang of using Impersonation effectively. What really screws up my Fiday is playing a Camo-Heavy Ariadna list. When over half of your opponent's army is Camo markers... and then he deplots Mines as well... it can end bad for a Hassassin.

As for all the nutters with Thermal Optics and whatnot... meh... you can handle them. Try to minimize them getting the drop on you, and play smart. You can't plan for everything, but the trick is working out the kinks in your current list.

SWC costs, and head games. A player could take a Muyib or Janissary as an LT, but then you'd have to pay extra SWC, and when you can use that instead on an HMG or spitfire, sometimes its worth getting the better weapon on another fig. Also, I can't speak for other factions, but Haqq can have a barrel of laughs with the LT headgames, given that the bog standard Rifle Ghulam is already an acceptable LT with 14 WP, and with an enviable spread of WP 14 LT candidates in the faction, you can easily conceal the identity of your LT. Is that guy in the back just a cheerleader/ARO sniper, or is he LT? Is it that guy rampaging in front? And then add in the shenanigans you can pull with a Hafza's Holoprojector.

I will admit though that a monster LT like the Asawira has some serious fun potential! (though the last time I tried that, he got shish kebabed by a Speculo with monoblade.)

@Marmaduke:

Well, sounds like you've got a solid gameplan there, let us know how it performs when you get a chance!

I am personally scared of Missile snip cause well.
i see you across the map. you have hacker? no you die. basically there is really no defence for it. just you get missile to the face :p not really my idea of fun

Muyibs... i like the sculpt but i just like Lasiqs more is all. with the viral and mimetism

though never really thought about runing a link team of Muyibs... might give it a try sometime.

I say keep trying same list. It's not the list it's how you play it. I always try the same one at lest three times before I change it.
