So, Imotekh sits back with a Chrono and keeps the field dark and full of lightning. The Arks and Barges move up and put the hurt on stuff. Stalkers target heavy armor - Land Raiders and stuff or, if no good targets are around, infantry I need to twin-link against.

Thoughts?

whats the point of an empty command barge?

Why do you even have immotekh in the list? Its not like long ranged shooting is going to do anything to armor 13, your hurting yourself with immotekh in this list.

It nullifies all the shooting that can hurt it, excluding Meltaguns. When those get close, they are going to get chewed up with my shooting. Also, he has the lightning, which is awesome. This means less worry about Psyflemen, Long Fangs, and Razorbacks, etc. The Empty Command barge is another AV13 vehicle to help screen my Overlord - though I admit, I am not 100% on this list (versus my other Mechron list). Just seeing about Imotekh as an alternative.

The empty barge is useless, its an over-costed gauss cannon. Nobody will shoot at it. I know I wouldn't. The only thing that makes them nasty is the sweep attacks.

I suppose as a mid-range shooting list, it'll prevent getting alpha-striked.
However i think the points could be better spent. I'll get to that in a sec.
x2 despairteks in each warrior squad? Do you mean destructeks? lanceteks? x2 flamer templates wont help you much.

I say, drop immotehk and the chronotek, grab two cheap overlords to fill those CCB's, and use any remaining points to buy two solar pulses

Whoops. Destruction. Fixed. Brain failed me there, too many stupid Harbingers to keep up with.

Also, what you described is basically the standard Mech Necron list I posted a week or so ago. Just seeing if I could make Imotekh work.

I just see this list being more optimal is all. I'm just under the impression that Immotehk works best with melee troops, as opposed to the a strong shooting force like the one you have.

Imotekhs darkness lasts for the game turn. As far as I can tell, you don't have any solar pulses to negate your own Night Fighting.

Imotekh is not built for shooting lists. His ability makes far more sense in a melee-heavy list where you need the night fighting and shooting is scarce.
