Been out of the game for a number of years and just getting back into it so I'm in the process of updating a number of models and such. On the block right now, are my landspeeders. I've got a handful of them that are equipped with just the pintle-mounted HB / MM and was looking to maybe pick-up the bits to equip them as either Typhoons or Tornados (and very likely magnetising them!).

That said, I've looked at a number of images for the Typhoon missile pods and mounts and it looks like they'll be a straightforward swap. However, I've been unable to locate any good images / descriptions of the "Tornado" pattern weapons and their mountings so I'm not quite certain if they're an easy change or addition or whether I'm going to have to do some extra modding and such. And so, I come to Dakka! Anyone able to either provide a couple images of how the bottom weapons are mounted and / or a good description? Would be greatly appreciated!

(Oh, and I've obviously got the old, single part body type landspeeders, though I haven't seen anything suggesting that would matter much in this case)

Just Google tornado landspeeder, should get enough photos to help you out. From what I can tell, the only difference between a regular landspeeder, and the tornado is the chin mounted weapon. Check out Jawaballs on YouTube and his video - Warhammer 40k: How to use Magnets on 40k models - shows where everything goes.
