How well does it work and what are its pros and cons vs. a standard primer?

I use it all the time. Works good IMHO.

Let it dry though

what balsak said, only thing is it doesn't quite work as well with metals, so its a bit disappointing at times as a general purpose primer.

If you EVER need to strip those models, forget it.

There is a reason it is called Fusion.. it bonds on a molecular level to plastic, and I have never found a stripper that will take it off.

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Doesnt that mean it'll strip the paint over it though? essentially saving us the repriming process? xD

If you like partially dissolved primer as a base, sure!

I should have clarified.. stripping with LA, SG and Purple Power all have made the plastic models I had (which had been primed with Fusion) become pitted like the surface of the moon. (well, not that bad, but really, only good for zombies and Nurgle cultists).

Does Fusion come in matte? I've only ever seen glossy colors, which are less than ideal for painting over. Even if it does, I'd skip it, personally, as even standard spraypaints adhere well enough to clean plastic for gaming purposes. Why deny yourself the option of stripping it cleanly and completely at a later date if you don't actually need a stronger bond?
